Blending Herbal Healthcare with Modern Science
Innovation & Scientific Excellence
The R&D team of AIMIL is manned by a group of high academic calibre and experienced professionals from different fields like Ayurveda, pharmaceutical and basic sciences. They are involved in product & in-house process development for various formulations on the basis of Ayurvedic texts and scientific studies.
AIMIL's budget is nearly 20% of turnover on R&D with sophisticated laboratory equipment, instruments & pilot plant facilities and thereby enhancing our new product pipeline, significant scientific talent, expanding our scientific capabilities & continuously improving the quality of products.
Collaborations & Breakthrough Formulations
Collaborated with the best research centres, universities and hospitals in India to reinforce the scientific foundation of AIMIL. The effectiveness of major products is also confirmed in real-life healthcare practices through randomized, double-blind clinical trials. Collaboration with educational establishments also helps to provide the participation of PhD scholars and young researchers in the sphere of herbal drug development, with the support of professional educators.
The R&D team at AIMIL has been successful in creating innovative and popular formulations over the years, including Neeri, Neeri KFT, Fifatrol, Amree Plus, Amlycure D.S., Amycordial Forte, Boniheal, Muscalt Forte and Purodil Gel, which have tackled complicated health issues and enhanced patient outcomes. Aimil has also acquired many technological advances & innovatively developed formulations Lukoskin & BGR-34 from eminent government research institutions like DRDO and CSIR, respectively. The R&D centre is not only an epicentre of scientific development and innovation of herbs, but also a collaborative, knowledge-generating & preservation centre of medicinal plants. Through the constant innovations, high technology and excellent scientific collaborations, AIMIL is defining the future of safe, effective and evidence-based natural remedies.
Conceptual Research
The study begins with a thorough examination of ancient Ayurveda texts and local healthcare systems used by the local population. It is through a systematic recording of the folk use of botanicals and their therapeutic significance that we hope to reconcile the wisdom of the classics with that of scientific knowledge.
Botanical Surveys
To confirm previous assertions, we conduct extensive botanical investigations in various geographical locations. Through these surveys, identification, authentication, and cataloguing of medicinal plants utilized by the local and tribal medicine systems. This is the basis of additional pre-clinical and clinical investigation.
Pre-clinical Studies
The pre-clinical studies are concerned with safety profiling and dose-dependent testing of formulations based on ancient literature and traditional assertions. An intensive pharmacological and toxicological research is carried out to ascertain efficacy and safety prior to taking the product to human trials.
Clinical Research/Pharmacovigilance Investigation
The conduction of clinical research to determine the therapeutic efficacy of Ayurvedic preparations in the clinical environment. There is a high focus on pharmacovigilance (PV) profiling to observe, evaluate, and secure long-term safety in heterogeneous populations of patients.
Preparation of Ayurvedic Monographs
The major research interests are the preparation of standardized monographs of Ayurvedic herbs, especially those botanicals that are not yet defined in official pharmacopoeial standards. They provide comprehensive botanical identification, phytochemical profiling, safety data, and therapeutic indications - a scientifically validated reference source to academia, industry and practitioners.
Publication & Knowledge Sharing
Several of our research findings are a substantial proportion of the knowledge about experimental science has been published in well-known journals and within the public domain. Making it more approachable and open for all professionals, Ayurveda is considered a valid and research-based system of healthcare.
