Uttar Pradesh Orthopaedic Association's 43rd Annual Conference UPORTHOCON organized in the Rohilkhand Medical College, Bareilly under the auspices of the Bareilly Orthopaedic Association from 15^th to 17^th February 2019. On February 15, The Chief Guest was Dr. P. K. Dabral the former President of Bone and Joint Department of Jhansi Medical College and former Presidency Professor of Uttar Pradesh Orthopaedic Association, as well as Chief Officer of Uttar Pradesh.

Approx. 600 orthopaedic doctors gathered for the technical sessions including experts and PG students. Dr. Ramesh Sen from Chandigarh, informed about the treatment of necrosis in the upper extremities of the thigh bone. Dr. Matthew Verghese lectured about the disability due to foot, spinal cord injuries and explain artificial Limb, which were made by spending millions of rupees from abroad, are now being made in India only at a very low cost which gives patients a lot of comfort. Dr. Dhirendra Singh, a senior Orthopaedic specialist from Ghaziabad, lectured about the treatment of injury in the ankle bone. On this occasion, Dr. Atul Shrivastav, President of the Orthopaedic Association, Dr. Jamal Ashraf is Head of Trauma Unit UM&TC, Organizational secretary of the conference Dr. Vinod Pagragari was also present. On occasion of UPORTHOCON, well-known Pharmaceutical companies were present there. On February 16 morning, A Mini marathon held, in which chief guest Arunima Sinha was the first female amputee to scale Mount Everest and Mount Vinson has inaugurated that The purpose of the marathon was to connect the people of the society and to deliver a message to them that we will not face any difficulties in front of us but we should fight with our will and passion. On February 17, poster presentation was there for the P G students and experts lectured on how to manage the disorder related to bone with the operative processors as well as non-operative therapy.
