नई दिल्ली, 20 जून (आईएएनएस)| योग के बाद अब आयुर्वेद और प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा के प्रति पश्चिमी देशों में दिलचस्पी बढ़ रही है। अमेरिका के कैलिफोर्निया में 22 जून से शुरू हो रहे इंडो-यूएस वेलनेस समागम में बड़ी संख्या में भारतीय संस्थान, कंपनियां व विशेषज्ञ हिस्सा लेने जा रहे हैं, जो वहां आयुर्वेद, योग, हर्बल, प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा से जुड़े अपने उत्पाद प्रदर्शित करेंगे। अमेरिकी एजेंसियों की ओर से आयोजित होने वाले इस समारोह में भारत का आयुष मंत्रालय भी एक सहयोगी है। इस समारोह में केरल आयुर्वेद, डाबर और एमिल फार्मास्युटिकल जैसी नामी भारतीय कंपनियां भी हिस्सा ले रही हैं।

यह तीन दिवसीय समारोह 22 से 24 जून के बीच कैलिफोर्निया के सेंट क्लारा कन्वेंसन केंद्र में आयोजित किया जाएगा। अमेरिका के वेलनेस व्यवसाय से जुड़ी कंपनियां इसमें हिस्सा लेंगी। साथ ही समारोह में विशेषज्ञों द्वारा व्याख्यान भी दिए जाएंगे।

भारतीय कंपनियों को इस समागम में अपनी दवाएं एवं पोषक उत्पादों को प्रदर्शित करने का मौका मिलेगा। आमतौर पर मधुमेह की दवाएं अमेरिका या अन्य विकसित देशों में खोजी जाती हैं और फिर भारत में बिकती हैं। लेकिन यह पहला मौका होगा जब सीएसआईआर द्वारा विकसित मधुमेह रोधी दवा बीजीआर-34 को अमेरिका में प्रदर्शित किया जाएगा। अमेरिका में तीन करोड़ मधुमेह रोगी हैं और वे मधुमेह के इलाज के लिए आयुर्वेद, प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा और योग को वैकल्पिक उपचार के रूप में अपना रहे हैं।

एमिल फार्मास्युटिकल के कार्यकारी निदेशक संचित शर्मा ने कहा, वेलनेस रैंकिग में अमरीका 85 स्थान पर है। इसे सुधारने के लिए वह आयुर्वेद और हर्बल उत्पादों की तरफ रुख कर रहा है। भारतीय मूल के चिकित्सक डॉ. भगवती भट्टाचार्य ने हाल में एक बयान जारी कर कहा, अमरीकियों ने पहले योग को अपनाया, जिससे उन्हें फायदा हुआ। अब वे आयुर्वेद की तरफ आकर्षित हो रहे हैं। आयुर्वेद एवं प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा को अपनाने के पीछे अमेरिकियों की सोच स्वस्थ बने रहना है। भारतीय आयुर्वेद या हर्बल उत्पादों को अमेरिका में दवा तो नहीं माना जाता, लेकिन स्वस्थ रखने वाले उत्पादों के रूप में उनकी मान्यता खासी बढ़ रही है।

आम तौर पर मधुमेह की दवाएं अमेरिका या अन्य विकसित देशों में खोजी जाती हैं और फिर भारत में बिकती हैं। लेकिन यह पहला मौका होगा जब केंद्र सरकार की वैज्ञानिक और औद्योगिक अनुसंधान परिषद (सीएसआईआर) की ओर से विकसित मधुमेह रोधी दवा बीजीआर-34 को अमेरिका में प्रदर्शित किया जाएगा। अमेरिका में तीन करोड़ मधुमेह रोगी हैं और वे मधुमेह के इलाज के लिए आयुर्वेद, प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा और योग को वैकल्पिक उपचार के रूप में तेजी से अपना रहे हैं। सम्मेलन में हिस्सा ले रहे एमिल फार्मास्युटिकल के कार्यकारी निदेशक संचित शर्मा ने कहा कि वेलनेस रेंकिग में अमरीका 85वें स्थान पर है। इसे सुधारने के लिए वह आज आयुर्वेद और हर्बल उत्पादों की तरफ देख रहा है। यह हमारे लिए गर्व की बात है। एमिल ने सीएसआईआरए डीआरडीओ द्वारा विकसित कई आयुर्वेदिक फार्मूलों को सफलतापूर्वक बाजार में उतारा है। इसी प्रकार गुर्दे के उपचार की दवा नीरी केएफटी भी वहां प्रदर्शित की जाएगी जो भारत में मशहूर है।

New Delhi: After the successful acceptance of yoga at the global platform, the government is aiming to popularise traditional medicines by showcasing ayurvedic and herbal products at different world-level forums. Given that the Ministry of Ayush is the apex body and has been tasked to promote yoga and Ayurveda, a team of experts comprising of ministry officials, as well as other stakeholders, has been scheduled to take part at a global conclave starting on Friday in the USA.
Besides, showcasing different products related to Ayurveda, yoga, herbal and natural medicine, the team members, which also comprise entrepreneurs and ayurvedic drug manufacturers, would also reach out to global leaders by presenting the efficacy of ayurvedic products. According to officials, the conclave would be an opportunity for the country to prove its credentials in Ayurveda. "It's been a precedent that anti-diabetes medicines developed in foreign countries are being introduced in India, but it's for the first time that we would be showcasing indigenously developed anti-diabetic drug to the world," an official said, adding that the CSIR-developed ant-diabetic ayurvedic drug BGR-34 would be the star attraction at the show.
"As yoga has already been included in the healthcare system of Americans, we are hopeful that ayurvedic and herbal medicines would also get a space into their wellness kit," said Sanchit Sharma, executive director of AIMIL Pharmaceuticals, who is part of the team visiting the conclave. Apart from the ayurvedic drugs developed by the CSIR, the herbal medicines developed by DRDO scientists such as Lukoskin — a drug to treat leucoderma, would also be showcased at the Indo-US wellness conclave. The herbal products from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, North-eastern regions, etc would also be displayed at the conclave along with NeeriKFT, a herbal medicine used to control creatinine level among kidney patients.

The three-day Indo-American Wellness Conclave and Exhibition, 2018, at California's Santa Clara Convention Centre will discuss "Wellness and its pursuit" according to India's traditional practices. Besides American wellness companies, a large number of Indian firms like Kerala Ayurveda, Dabur and AIMIL Pharmaceuticals are participating in the event. The wellness summit would be an opportunity for the country to prove its credentials in ayurveda, the representative of a company participating in the event said. Besides, showcasing different products related to ayurveda, yoga, herbal and natural medicine, the participants would also reach out to global leaders by presenting the efficacy of ayurvedic products, he said. A brainstorming session would be held at the event which is expected to create awareness about ayurveda.

"Usually, diabetes drugs are first developed by developed countries and then sold in India. –आईएएनएस नई दिल्ली, 7 जून (आईएएनएस)| सीएसआईआर की दो प्रयोगशालाओं ने मधुमेहरोधी दवा बीजीआर-34 का निर्माण कर वर्ष 2015-16 के दौरान इसे बाजार में उतारा। यह दवा बेहद सफल साबित हुई है। इसे पिछले दो सालों के दौरान बाजार में लांच की गई 6367 दवाओं में शीर्ष 14वें स्थान पर रखा गया है। ऐसा इसकी बिक्री और प्रभावकारिता के आंकड़ों के चलते हुआ। यह पहला मौका है जब आयुर्वेदिक फार्मूले पर बनी दवाओं को एलोपैथिक दवाओं की रैंकिग में 14वां स्थान मिला हो। विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्यौगिकी मंत्रालय ने अपनी चार साल की उपलब्धियों में मधुमेह रोधी दवा बीजीआर-34 की खोज और इसे सफलतापूर्वक बाजार में लाने को बड़ी उपलब्धि माना है। विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्यौगिकी मंत्री डा. हर्षवर्धन ने गुरुवार को चार साल की उपलब्धियों को लेकर संवाददाता सम्मेलन की जबकि सीएसआईआर के महानिदेशक डा. गिरीश साहनी ने इस मौके पर उपलब्धियों को लेकर प्रजेंटेशन दिया। मंत्रालय द्वारा उपलब्धियों को लेकर जारी दस्तावेज में बताया गया है कि बीजीआर-34 रक्त में शर्करा की मात्रा कम करने में कारगर है। मधुमेह के एलोपैथी इलाज के साथ-साथ इसे लिया जा सकता है। दिल्ली, हिप्र, हरियाणा, पंजाब और कर्नाटक में 18 महीनों तक मरीजों पर हुए परीक्षण में यह प्रभावी पाई गई है। करीब 67 फीसदी मरीजों में सेवन के तीन चार दिनों के भीतर ही इसका सकारात्मक प्रभाव दिखने लगा था। दस्तावेज में बताया गया है कि यह रक्त में शर्करा की मात्रा कम करने के साथ-साथ एंटी आक्सीडेंट की मात्रा और प्रतिरोधक तंत्र में सुधार करती है।
